The acoustic laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 (flexible accreditation according to category III) by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH.
Definition of the term accreditation (ISO/IEC 17011):
“Accreditation refers to third-party attestation related to a conformity assessment body conveying formal demonstration of its competence to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks”
The laboratory is competent to carry out acoustics laboratory tests (airborne sound insulation of walls and components, sound absorption) and acoustic tests at constructions (airborne and impact sound insulation) and determination of room acoustic parameter (pursuant to the annex to the accreditation certificate).
The flexible accreditation permits the laboratory to use standards listed here with different issue dates without being required to inform and obtain prior approval from DAkkS.
